Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Thread the laces through all metal eyelets. Start from the bottom, ensuring even tension. Cinch laces firmly but not too tightly to allow for comfort and blood circulation. Double-knot for security.
- Fit Check: Stand up and walk around. Your heel should feel secure, and your toes should have a small amount of space at the front, preventing them from hitting the boot's end on descents.
Compatibility
These boots are well-suited for:
- Terrain: Varied surfaces including urban streets, park paths, light to moderate hiking trails, and uneven ground.
- Activities: Daily wear, casual outings, light hiking, city exploration, and activities requiring stable footing and ankle support.
- Weather: Best in dry to mildly damp conditions. The breathable mesh may not offer full waterproof protection in heavy rain or deep puddles.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, especially on trails, brush off loose dirt and mud with a soft brush. For stubborn grime, wipe with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Do not submerge the entire boot in water.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the boots upright to maintain their shape.
- Maintenance: Periodically check laces and eyelets for wear. Consider using a protective spray designed for mixed-material footwear to enhance water and stain resistance (consult product label for material compatibility).
