FAQs
Do I need special socks for the Nike Air Rift?
Yes, to enjoy the full comfort of the split-toe design, it is recommended to wear tabi socks, which have a separate space for the big toe.
Are these shoes suitable for running?
The Air Rift Ld63 is designed primarily for casual lifestyle wear and is not intended for long-distance running or high-impact training.
How do I clean the cream fabric?
Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt and spot clean with mild soap and water. Air dry away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
Does the sizing run true to size?
The fit is generally true to size, but the split-toe feature may make them feel snug initially until the materials settle to the shape of your foot.
Can the straps be replaced if they wear out?
The straps are integrated into the construction of the shoe; if the velcro loses grip, we recommend using a lint roller to clean the fibers to restore stickiness.
Troubleshooting
Discomfort between the toes
Ensure your foot is positioned correctly in the shoe and try wearing thin, moisture-wicking tabi socks to prevent friction.
Straps feel loose after walking
Adjust the velcro or fastening system periodically throughout the day to maintain a secure fit as the foot swells slightly during the day.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Distinctive and unique aesthetic
- Excellent breathability for warm weather
- Lightweight construction minimizes fatigue
- Adjustable straps for a personalized fit
Cons
- Split-toe design requires specialized socks or no socks
- Less arch support compared to traditional running shoes
- Not suitable for high-intensity athletic performance
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best fit, ensure the strap system is adjusted firmly across the midfoot without restricting circulation. Regarding compatibility, the split-toe nature of these shoes means you will either need to wear them barefoot or invest in specific tabi-style (split-toe) socks. To clean your cream-colored Air Rifts, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt and a mild detergent with a damp cloth for spot cleaning. Avoid placing them in the washing machine or dryer, as the agitation and heat can damage the specialized materials and bonding agents.
