Troubleshooting

Zip feels stiff or sticks

Check for fabric caught in the teeth and ensure the path is clear. You can apply a tiny amount of candle wax or a graphite pencil lead to the teeth to lubricate them.

Borg fleece looks matted after washing

Gently shake out the garment while damp and use a soft-bristled brush once completely dry to fluff the fibers back up.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-quality, soft borg fleece material for comfort
  • Three separate zipped pockets for secure storage
  • Reflective trim enhances safety in dim lighting
  • Stretch binding helps keep the garment securely in place
  • Versatile design suitable for school or outdoor play

Cons

  • Not intended for heavy rain or extreme weather
  • Borg fleece material may require specific care to stay soft
  • Polyester construction may trap odors after intense activity

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maintain the longevity of the Regatta Frankie Warm Fleece, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  1. Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using cool water to preserve the softness of the borg fleece. Avoid using harsh fabric softeners that can clog the fibers.
  2. Drying: Air dry the jacket whenever possible. High heat in a tumble dryer can damage the stretch binding and potentially shrink the polyester fabric.
  3. Compatibility: This fleece works best when layered under a waterproof outer jacket for wet-weather days, or worn as a standalone jacket on dry, crisp afternoons.
  4. Storage: Hang the garment on a sturdy coat hanger to help it maintain its shape and avoid wrinkles.
