The product description does not explicitly state that these boots are waterproof. While the premium nubuck leather offers some natural resistance to light moisture, they are designed for 'most surfaces' rather than heavy wet conditions. For wet weather, consider applying a water-repellent spray designed for nubuck.
Use a specialized nubuck brush to remove dry dirt. For tougher stains, apply a nubuck/suede cleaner following the product's instructions, and then brush the nap back into shape once dry. Avoid using water alone or standard leather conditioners.
Yes, the OrthoLite® footbeds are typically removable, allowing you to replace them with new ones or custom orthotics for personalized comfort and support if desired.
ReBOTL™ fabric is a sustainable material made by Timberland that contains at least 50% recycled PET (plastic bottle) content. It's used in the boot's lining to reduce environmental impact.
These boots are ideal for light hiking trails, casual walks, urban exploration, and general everyday wear. Their design focuses on comfort, support, and traction for varied but not extreme terrains.
Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure they are clean and dry before storing. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape over time.
Gently brush the entire boot with a nubuck brush to remove loose dirt. For deeper stains, use a specialized nubuck/suede cleaner according to its instructions. Always test cleaners on an inconspicuous area first.
Check the rubber lug outsoles for embedded dirt or debris and clean thoroughly with a stiff brush and water. If the lugs are significantly worn down, traction will naturally decrease over time, indicating potential need for replacement.
Ensure your laces are tied correctly – snug but not overly tight. Check your socks for proper fit and material (avoid loose cotton). Allow for a break-in period if new. If discomfort persists, consider trying different insoles or consulting a footwear specialist.
Stiffness is common in new leather boots; continued wear will help soften them. If creaking occurs, it might be due to friction between the insole and boot interior. Try removing the insole, dusting a little talcum powder inside the boot, then reinserting the insole.
Remove insoles and allow boots to air out completely after each use. Use odor-absorbing inserts or sprays specifically designed for footwear. Ensure boots are fully dry before storing.
