The jacket provides good warmth for its weight, but for very cold winter conditions, it may be best used as a mid-layer combined with a heavier, waterproof outer shell.

The Extol Stretch panels are made from a more flexible material and are integrated into areas like the underarms and side seams to allow for greater freedom of movement, which is ideal for active children.
