Product Information

Full details

The Clarks Boxbee Desert Boots are designed for the modern man who appreciates a fusion of heritage style and contemporary streetwear functionality. These boots provide the comfort and iconic silhouette of the classic Desert Boot, elevated with a durable gum rubber cup sole and skate-inspired aesthetic details. While they offer exceptional everyday wearability and durability, potential buyers should note that the rounded last provides a more relaxed fit, which may require careful size consideration compared to sharper, narrower traditional boot profiles.

FAQs

Are these boots waterproof?

While the leather and rubber sole provide protection from light moisture, they are not fully waterproof and should be treated with a protective spray if you live in a high-rainfall area.

What is the difference between the sole on these and traditional Desert Boots?

These feature a gum rubber cup sole, which is significantly more durable and slip-resistant than the classic crepe sole found on standard Clarks Desert Boots.

Does the boot come with extra laces?

Yes, each pair includes tonal round and flat laces, allowing you to customize the look of the boot.

How do I know if I have the leather or suede version?

The material is indicated on the product tag or box. Generally, suede has a soft, matte, napped finish, while leather has a smoother, polished surface.

Can I replace the insoles?

Yes, the sock liner and insole can be managed, though the shoe is designed with a specific comfort-focused branded sock.

Troubleshooting

Boots feel slightly loose in the toe area

Use a thicker pair of socks or an insertable insole to refine the internal volume of the boot.

Stains appearing on the suede version

Use a specialized suede eraser or a light mist of suede cleaner, followed by a soft-bristled brush once dry.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Durable gum rubber outsole is more resilient than traditional crepe soles
Versatile design suitable for casual and smart-casual settings
Includes both round and flat laces for style customization
Easy-wear heel loop for convenience
Comfortable rounded last accommodates a variety of foot shapes

Cons

Rounded toe box may feel too loose for those preferring a slim fit
Material care requirements differ between leather and suede versions
Availability of specific materials varies by size

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your boots remain in optimal condition, consider the material of your specific pair. If your boots are leather, wipe them down with a damp cloth and apply a leather conditioner periodically to prevent drying. If you opted for the suede finish, use a suede brush to lift nap and remove dust. Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources. To maintain the structural shape, consider using cedar shoe trees when not in use. When choosing your size, remember that the rounded last is designed for a relaxed fit; ensure you test the fit with the type of socks you intend to wear daily.
