FAQs

Are these shorts suitable for the gym?

While they feature sport-inspired design, the satin material is intended for lifestyle and casual wear rather than heavy exercise.

How do I ensure I choose the right size?

The shorts feature a regular fit and an elasticised waist; standard sizing should apply, but refer to the size guide if you prefer a looser or more tailored silhouette.

Can I put these in the dryer?

It is not recommended. Heat can degrade the elastic waistband and potentially shrink or dull the satin fabric.

What is the material composition?

These shorts are constructed from premium satin fabric for a sleek finish.

Is the logo embroidered or printed?

The logo is a signature liquid print, requiring care to keep it sharp over time.

Troubleshooting

Fabric appears wrinkled after storage

Lightly steam the shorts using a garment steamer from a distance; avoid direct iron contact on the satin surface.

Logo print looks faded

Always wash inside out in a laundry mesh bag to prevent friction against other garments.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated satin material provides a premium visual aesthetic
Fully elasticised waistband offers high levels of comfort
Balanced regular fit is flattering and versatile for daily wear
Distinguishable Y-3 branding provides a designer look

Cons

Satin fabric requires delicate cleaning to prevent snags or pulls
Material may show creases more easily than technical nylon fabrics
Hand-wash or delicate cycle is recommended for longevity

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maintain the integrity of the satin material, it is recommended to turn the shorts inside out before washing to protect the logo application. Machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle using a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals that can strip the sheen from the satin finish. Air drying is strongly encouraged, as high heat from a tumble dryer may damage the elastic in the waistband or compromise the fabric's smooth texture. Store them hung or folded in a cool, dry place to minimize deep wrinkles.
