Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are securely tied to provide a snug fit without being too tight. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points.
- First Run: For your initial runs, keep the distance short to allow your feet to adapt to the shoe's cushioning and feel.
Compatibility
These trainers are primarily designed for road running and light, well-maintained trails. Their substantial cushioning and forward-rolling characteristics make them ideal for:
- Daily Mileage: Your go-to shoe for everyday training.
- Long Runs: Excellent for covering significant distances comfortably.
- Recovery Runs: Provides a soft landing to aid in muscle recovery.
- Tempo Runs: The `Speedboard®` offers enough responsiveness for faster paced efforts.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the lifespan and performance of your Cloudmonster trainers:
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush after runs. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and cold water with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives. Allow them to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Drying: If your shoes get wet, remove the insoles and stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture. Allow them to air dry naturally.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving them in hot cars or humid environments, which can degrade materials.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Cloudmonster trainers with another pair of running shoes to allow the cushioning to fully decompress and extend their overall life.
