This guide is for DIY enthusiasts and homeowners looking to refresh interior spaces with a sophisticated, durable paint. The key benefit is its ability to offer exceptional colour intensity and a velvety matt finish that conceals imperfections, providing a professional look with ease. A caveat is that it is designed for interior use only.

This paint provides a durable, classic matt finish with a soft, velvety texture.
Yes, it is suitable for interior walls and ceilings, including bathrooms, as long as the area is not a high-moisture zone like a shower cubicle without additional sealing.
The surface should be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. Using the 1829 White Undercoat is recommended for best results.
Yes, it can be used on interior furniture. For a more durable finish on high-use items, a protective wax or varnish can be applied after painting.
Gently wipe away marks with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
Eau de Nil is French for 'Water of the Nile', and describes a light, fresh, and airy green colour.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. If still too thick, a very small amount of clean water (max 10% per litre) can be added, but avoid over-thinning.
Ensure surfaces were properly prepared and primed with the recommended undercoat. Apply paint using consistent brushstrokes or roller technique, maintaining a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Apply a second coat if necessary.
For furniture, consider applying a protective layer of clear wax or varnish after the paint has fully cured. For walls, use a damp cloth for cleaning rather than scrubbing.
Setup:
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. For best results and optimal colour, it is recommended to use the 1829 White Undercoat. Apply the emulsion with a brush or roller.
Compatibility:
This paint is designed for interior walls, ceilings, and furniture. It is not suitable for exterior surfaces or areas with high moisture like shower cubicles unless properly sealed.
Care:
This is a durable, classic matt finish that can be wiped down. For best results, use a clean, damp cloth to gently wipe away marks. Avoid abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the chalky finish.
