The North Face Reign On Jacket - Multicolor - M

DryVent™ 2L is a technology used by The North Face that provides waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection. The '2L' refers to a two-layer construction, often paired with a protective mesh layer or coating inside the jacket.

The non-PFC DWR finish helps water bead off the jacket. To maintain it, avoid fabric softeners and bleaches during washing, and tumble dry on low heat after washing. If performance degrades, consider using a specialized DWR reapplication spray.

The Reign On Jacket is primarily designed for waterproof and windproof protection. For very cold weather, layering with insulating garments like fleece or down is recommended.

This fit is designed to be looser and more generous through the body and sleeves, offering comfort and ease of movement. It is not a slim or tailored fit.

The hand pockets feature VISLON® zippers, which are water-resistant, and are designed to help keep contents dry in moderate wet conditions. However, they are not fully submersible or guaranteed waterproof in heavy downpours.

Using recycled polyester reduces the reliance on virgin petroleum-based materials, conserving natural resources and lowering the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing new polyester.

While the jacket offers breathability, its relaxed fit and primary design for rain protection mean it might be warmer than specialized running jackets. However, its waterproof and windproof qualities can be beneficial in harsh conditions.

Ensure all seams are properly sealed and that the DWR finish is still effective. If the DWR has worn off, consider reapplying it. Check that the storm flap and zippers are fully closed.

Gently try to move the zipper up and down. If it continues to stick, apply a small amount of graphite (from a pencil lead) or wax to the zipper teeth.

Ensure the jacket is clean. Dirt and oils can clog the pores of the fabric. Follow the washing instructions carefully, including the double rinse.

Check that the drawstrings are not tangled and that the cord locks are functioning correctly. Clean any debris from the drawstring channels.
