Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Preparation: Ensure your walls are clean, dry, and free from old wallpaper, dust, or grease. Minor imperfections like small cracks can often be covered by the wallpaper's texture, but significant damage should be repaired first.
- Cutting: Unroll the wallpaper and cut panels to the required length, allowing for a small overlap at the ceiling and skirting board.
- Pasting: Apply wallpaper paste directly to the wall, covering an area slightly wider than the width of one wallpaper panel. Use a good quality paste suitable for heavy or textured wallpapers.
- Application: Hang the first panel, ensuring it is perfectly vertical using a spirit level. Butt the edges of subsequent panels together, avoiding any overlap. Smooth the wallpaper onto the wall using a soft brush or roller, working from the center outwards to remove air bubbles.
- Trimming: Once positioned, carefully trim the excess wallpaper at the ceiling and skirting board using a sharp knife and a straight edge.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is designed for interior walls. It is compatible with most standard wall surfaces including plaster, plasterboard, and previously painted surfaces, provided they are properly prepared and sound.
Care:
To clean the wallpaper, use a slightly damp cloth or sponge. Gently wipe the surface to remove any light marks. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive water, as this could damage the embossed texture.
