Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Your Nike P-6000 trainers come ready to wear. Simply unlace them, slip your foot in, and lace them up to achieve a comfortable and secure fit. The classic laces allow for custom tensioning across the foot.
- Unlacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting the shoe on.
- Fitting: Slide your foot into the shoe, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back.
- Lacing: Tighten the laces from bottom to top, ensuring a snug but not overly tight fit. Tie a double knot for added security if desired.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed for older kids (indicated by 'GS' in some product codes, standing for Grade School) and are unisex. The sizing is based on UK children's shoe sizes. Ensure you check the specific size guide to confirm the correct fit for your child's foot length and width.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your P-6000 trainers. The blend of leather, mesh, and synthetic materials requires gentle cleaning.
- Spot Cleaning: For light dirt and scuffs, use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with mild soap and cool water. Gently wipe the affected areas. Avoid harsh scrubbing on mesh sections.
- Deep Cleaning (Uppers): For more stubborn dirt, prepare a solution of mild detergent and cool water. Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to gently scrub the leather and synthetic overlays. For mesh, use the damp cloth to lightly dab and lift dirt. Wipe clean with a separate damp cloth.
- Insoles: Remove insoles if possible and hand wash them with mild soap and water. Allow them to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, as these can damage materials. Do not put them in a washing machine or dryer.
- Odor Control: To help prevent odors, ensure shoes are fully dry before storage and consider using shoe deodorizers or baking soda sachets.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in plastic bags as this can trap moisture.
> Important: Do not machine wash or submerge the entire shoe in water, as this can damage the cushioning and adhesive components.
