FAQs

Is this an all-season tire?

Yes, the silica compound and asymmetric tread pattern are designed to provide performance in both wet and dry conditions.

What does the 107T rating mean?

107 is the load index (975kg per tire) and T is the speed rating, indicating the tire is rated for sustained speeds up to 190 km/h.

Can I use this tire for off-roading?

The Omikron H/T is a highway-terrain tire designed for paved roads; it is not recommended for aggressive off-road use.

How often should I check my tire pressure?

It is recommended to check your tire pressure at least once a month and before any long road trips.

Are these tires directional?

The Omikron H/T features an asymmetric tread pattern, which means they must be mounted with the correct side facing outward for optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

Uneven tread wear

Check wheel alignment and suspension components; rotate tires to balance wear patterns.

Vehicle pulling to one side

Verify tire pressure is equal on both sides and have a technician check vehicle wheel alignment.

Increased road noise or vibration

Check for trapped rocks in the tread grooves and ensure the tires are correctly balanced.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent wet-weather drainage and hydroplaning resistance
Engineered for low road noise and high comfort
Stable handling performance for highway driving
Durable construction tested to exceed safety standards

Cons

Not intended for heavy off-road mud or rock crawling
Limited to vehicles with 17-inch wheel diameters
Specific speed rating may not match high-performance sport applications

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure optimal performance, the Omikron H/T should be installed by a professional tire technician to ensure proper bead seating and balance.

Compatibility: This tire fits 17-inch rims with a width of 24.5 cm. Ensure your vehicle's load capacity does not exceed the 107 load rating (975kg per tire) and that the T speed rating (190 km/h) is appropriate for your vehicle's factory requirements.
Maintenance: Regularly check tire pressure according to your vehicle's placard (found in the door jamb). Rotate tires every 8,000 to 10,000 kilometers to ensure even tread wear. Inspect for foreign objects in the grooves periodically to maintain the effectiveness of the water-drainage channels.
