Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your boots maintain their appearance and longevity, proper care is essential.
- Storage: Always store in a cool, dry place and use shoe trees to maintain the structural integrity of the leather and reduce creasing.
- Cleaning: Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a high-quality leather conditioner formulated for black calfskin.
- Protection: Apply a leather-safe water-repellent spray if you intend to wear them in light inclement weather, though direct exposure to heavy rain should be avoided.
- Sole Maintenance: Since the soles are made of leather, consider having a cobbler apply a thin rubber topy or sole protector if you plan to walk extensively on concrete or rough surfaces to prevent premature wear.
