Designed in 1921 by Bernard-Albin Gras, this iconic floor lamp, the No. 215, was originally conceived for offices and industrial settings. Its simple, robust, and ergonomic design, free from screws or welded joints in its basic form, quickly gained popularity among artists and architects. The lamp's timeless aesthetic and user-friendliness make it suitable for both residential and professional spaces. This particular variant features a striking silver finish, adding a touch of elegance to its functional design. The lamp's design was so innovative that it was ahead of its time, attracting admirers like Le Corbusier, Robert Mallet-Stevens, Emile Jacques Ruhlmann, and Eileen Gray, who incorporated it into their projects. Artists like Sonia Delaunay and Georges Braque also favored it for their studios. Today, the Gras lamp is a highly sought-after collector's item worldwide.
