The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 is a versatile hybrid trainer designed for active adults who transition frequently between paved roads and rugged off-road trails. Featuring a responsive React foam midsole and a durable, weather-resistant upper, this shoe provides reliable cushioning and protection for varied terrain; however, it may feel less aggressive on highly technical mud compared to dedicated mountain-climbing footwear.

Yes, the React foam is specifically designed to provide a smooth transition on pavement.
They feature weather-resistant technology for protection against light rain and splashes, but they are not fully waterproof.
Wipe with a damp cloth using mild soap. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that could fray the fabric.
They provide good traction, but they are designed for fire roads and groomed trails rather than deep, technical mud.
React foam offers a balance of lightweight cushioning and high energy return for a responsive feel.
Ensure the laces are not over-tightened, as this can restrict blood flow and lead to foot numbness.
Use a stiff brush or a pressurized air canister to dislodge rocks and debris trapped in the lug patterns.
To ensure the best fit, verify your UK size against the standard Nike athletic shoe sizing, as these trainers run true to standard athletic dimensions. Because of the weather-resistant upper, it is recommended to avoid fully submerging the shoes in water, as this can trap moisture inside. To clean, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Always air-dry the shoes away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can degrade the foam integrity and adhesive bonds.
