FAQs

What occasions is this dress most suitable for?

This dress is primarily designed for formal events such as weddings (especially for bridesmaids), galas, and other special occasions where elegant attire is required.

What material is the dress made from?

The dress is crafted from 100% Polyester, specifically a smooth Karina crepe fabric, which provides an elegant matte finish and structural fluidity.

How should I clean this dress?

Dry cleaning is recommended to best preserve the fabric's drape and finish. If absolutely necessary, a gentle hand wash in cold water with mild detergent is an alternative, laid flat to dry.

What kind of accessories should I wear with this dress?

Delicate metallic accessories like simple hoop earrings or a refined necklace, along with strappy heels, will complement the dress's sophisticated aesthetic. A sleek updo will highlight the cowl back.

Is this dress available in other colors or sizes?

This specific variant is in a 'Beige' color. The 'Coast Honoured Collection' is available in a selection of bestselling colour palettes and various UK sizes (e.g., 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18) to accommodate different preferences and ensure a cohesive look for bridal parties. Please check product listings for available options.

Does the dress have a lining?

Info needed: [The product description does not explicitly state if the dress is lined. For formal garments, a lining is common for drape and comfort. Please check the garment tag or product details for confirmation.]

How does the dress fasten?

The dress fastens with a concealed side zip, which ensures a seamless look along the side of the garment.

Troubleshooting

Dress appears creased or wrinkled.

Hang the dress in a steamy bathroom for 20-30 minutes, or use a handheld garment steamer on a low setting. Avoid direct ironing on high heat as it can damage the crepe fabric.

Zipper is sticking or difficult to close.

Ensure the fabric is not caught in the zipper teeth. Gently rub a graphite pencil or a dry bar of soap along the zipper teeth to lubricate it. Do not force the zipper.

Cowl back doesn't drape correctly.

Ensure the dress is properly sized and that your undergarments are not pulling or creating tension. A slight adjustment to the shoulder straps (if present and adjustable) or the way you're standing can often correct the drape.

Dress doesn't feel comfortable for extended wear.

While the fabric is comfortable, ensure the size is correct. A dress that is too small can feel restrictive, while one that is too large may shift uncomfortably. Check undergarment comfort as well.

Fabric appears to have a snag.

Do not pull on the snagged thread. Gently push the thread back into the fabric using a needle or a specialized snag repair tool. For significant snags, consult a professional tailor.

Cons

  • Specific Occasion Wear: Primarily designed for formal events and bridal parties, limiting casual use.

  • Accessory Dependent: Requires thoughtful accessorizing to fully complement its refined aesthetic.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Preparation for Wear

  1. Unpack Carefully: Gently remove the dress from its packaging to prevent creasing. Hang it immediately on a padded hanger.
  2. Steaming: If needed, use a garment steamer on a low setting or hang the dress in a steamy bathroom to release any minor wrinkles. Avoid direct, high heat from an iron.
  3. Undergarment Selection: Select appropriate seamless undergarments before wearing to ensure a smooth line and comfortable fit.

Compatibility

This dress is part of the 'Coast Honoured Collection,' designed for cohesive bridal party styling. It is available in various sizes (UK 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18) and a 'Beige' colour family, making it suitable for mix-and-match groups within a wedding party. The timeless design also ensures it complements a range of wedding themes and décor.

Care Instructions

To maintain the elegance and longevity of your dress:

  • Material: 100% Polyester (Karina crepe).
  • Cleaning: Dry clean recommended for best results to preserve the fabric's drape and finish. If hand washing is necessary, use cold water with a mild detergent, gently swish, do not wring, and lay flat to dry.
  • Storage: Store on a wide, padded hanger in a breathable garment bag to protect it from dust and snags. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Wrinkle Prevention: When traveling, carefully roll the dress rather than folding, and unroll immediately upon arrival.
