The Westport jumper uses a high-quality blend of cotton and wool, which is designed for softness and is generally not itchy.
It is recommended to hand wash or use a delicate machine cycle with a wool-safe detergent to ensure longevity.
Always fold your jumper and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging, as this can cause the knit to stretch.
While the cotton blend is breathable, it is designed primarily as a layering piece for cooler spring, autumn, and winter days.
Like most wool-blend items, it can shrink if exposed to high heat. Always wash in cool water and air dry flat.
The Westport features a standard fit designed for comfortable layering; if you prefer a looser fit, consider sizing up.
Gently remove pills with a fabric shaver or a sweater comb specifically designed for wool blends.
Lightly mist with water and gently reshape while laying it flat; avoid pulling the fabric.
Because of the delicate cotton and wool composition, proper care is essential to maintain the garment's shape and softness. It is recommended to hand wash in cool water or use a gentle cycle with a detergent formulated for wool. Always lay the jumper flat to dry on a clean towel to prevent stretching or sagging. Avoid using a tumble dryer, as high heat can shrink the fibers and damage the knit structure. When storing, fold the garment rather than hanging it, as prolonged hanging can distort the shoulder seams.
