Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are securely tied to provide a snug, comfortable fit without being too tight. A double knot can prevent laces from coming undone during play.
- Stud Check: Before every match or training session, check all removable studs to ensure they are tightly screwed in. Loose studs can affect traction and may fall out. Replace any worn or damaged studs promptly.
- Break-in Period: Like any new football boot, allow a short break-in period during light training sessions to adapt to the boot's feel.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or damp. Do NOT use these boots on Firm Ground (FG), Artificial Ground (AG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs, outsole, and reduce the boot's lifespan, while also posing a slip hazard.
Care
- Cleaning after Use: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, clean your boots.
- Remove excess mud: Gently tap the boots together or use a blunt object (like a plastic scraper) to remove large clumps of mud from the upper and outsole.
- Wash: Use a soft brush or cloth with lukewarm water and a mild soap to clean the upper and studs. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Drying: Stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape. Allow them to air dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators), which can damage the materials.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly inspect removable studs for wear. If studs become worn or damaged, replace them with appropriate adidas SG replacement studs. Store boots in a cool, dry place.
