Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Simply unbox, lace up to your preferred tightness, and wear. No complex setup is required. It's recommended to wear them for short periods initially to allow the leather to soften and conform to your feet.
Compatibility
These trainers are highly compatible with a diverse range of wardrobes:
- Bottoms: Pair well with jeans (skinny, straight, relaxed fit), chinos, tailored trousers, shorts, and skirts.
- Tops: Complement t-shirts, polo shirts, casual button-downs, hoodies, and light jackets.
- Seasonality: Suitable for all seasons, though extra care should be taken in wet or snowy conditions due to the leather material.
Care Instructions for Leather Uppers
Proper care is crucial for maintaining the look and longevity of your leather trainers:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe off surface dirt with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a specialized leather cleaner applied with a soft brush or cloth. Always test cleaners on an inconspicuous area first.
- Conditioning: Every few weeks or months, depending on wear, apply a small amount of leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent drying or cracking. This helps restore natural oils.
- Protection: Apply a water and stain repellent spray specifically designed for leather before first wear and periodically thereafter, especially if you anticipate exposure to moisture.
- Drying: If your shoes get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Air dry them away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can damage the leather.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place, ideally with shoe trees to help retain their shape and absorb moisture.
