Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
- Unboxing: Carefully remove your new Nike Pegasus Premium shoes from their packaging.
- Lacing: Loosen the laces, slide your foot in, and ensure your heel is seated comfortably at the back of the shoe. Adjust the lacing to achieve a snug, secure fit without being too tight. A good fit allows a thumb's width between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
- First Run: For your initial runs, consider shorter distances to allow your feet to adapt to the shoe's unique cushioning and support.
Compatibility
- Intended Use: Designed specifically for women runners for daily training, long runs, and recovery runs.
- Foot Type: Suitable for a wide range of foot types; the accommodating upper and cushioned midsole work well for neutral runners.
- Terrain: Optimized for road and paved surfaces due to its outsole design.
Care
Maintaining your Pegasus Premium shoes will extend their lifespan and performance:
- Cleaning:
- Upper: Gently wipe down the mesh and knit upper with a soft brush or cloth dampened with mild soap and cold water. Avoid harsh detergents.
- Midsole/Outsole: Use a soft brush or old toothbrush to clean dirt and debris from the foam and rubber areas.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators or tumble dryers), which can damage materials. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Pegasus Premium with another pair of running shoes. This allows the cushioning to fully decompress and recover between runs, extending the shoe's lifespan.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or machine dry your shoes, as this can severely damage the materials and adhesives.
