FAQs

What material is the Buddy Shaggy Rug made from?

The rug is made from 100% Polypropylene, known for its durability, stain resistance, and ease of care.

Is this rug suitable for homes with pets or children?

Yes, its hard-wearing, stain-resistant, and machine washable features make it an excellent choice for busy homes with pets and children.

How do I clean the rug if something spills on it?

For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For a thorough clean, the rug is machine washable at 40°C. Do not bleach or dry clean.

What sizes are available for the Buddy Shaggy Rug?

It is available in various rectangular sizes: 60 x 100 cm, 80 x 120 cm, 140 x 200 cm, and also in a circular shape approximately 100 cm in diameter.

Is the rug truly non-slip?

The rug features an integrated non-slip backing. For maximum security on very smooth surfaces (like polished wood or tiles), it is recommended to use an additional 'Rug Grip Hold'.

Where is the Buddy Shaggy Rug manufactured?

Can I use this rug outdoors?

This rug is designed for indoor use. While durable, it is not specifically rated for outdoor weather exposure.

Troubleshooting

Rug is slipping on my smooth floor.

The rug has a non-slip backing, but for very smooth surfaces (like wood or tiles), we highly recommend using a separate 'Rug Grip Hold' underneath for optimal security and to prevent movement.

Stain is not coming out completely after washing.

While the rug is highly stain-resistant, very old or oil-based stains can be more challenging. Ensure you treat fresh spills promptly by blotting. If a stain persists, try a gentle carpet cleaner suitable for polypropylene, following the product's instructions. Note that the rug is resistant to non-oil based makeup stains.

Rug has creases from packaging.

Lay the rug flat in your desired location. Most creases from packaging will naturally relax and disappear within 1-2 days. You can also try gently rolling it in the opposite direction for a short period to help flatten it faster.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent stain and fade resistance for easy maintenance
  • Machine washable, simplifying cleaning
  • Comfortable shaggy pile texture
  • Integrated non-slip backing for enhanced safety
  • Durable and long-lasting with extra-strong fibres
  • Made from 100% Polypropylene, a robust material

Cons

  • "Rug Grip Hold" is recommended for smooth surfaces, potentially an additional purchase
  • Only resistant to non-oil based makeup stains
  • Limited to 40°C machine wash temperature

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully unroll the rug in your desired location. It may take a day or two for any temporary creases from packaging to flatten out.
  2. Placement: Position the rug where it complements your room's layout.
  3. Secure (Optional but Recommended): If placing the rug on smooth surfaces such as hardwood, laminate, or tile, it is strongly recommended to use a separate 'Rug Grip Hold' underneath. This will further enhance stability and prevent movement, ensuring maximum safety.

Compatibility

  • Surfaces: Suitable for most indoor floor types. For smooth surfaces, combine with a rug grip.
  • Environment: Ideal for high-traffic areas, family rooms, dining rooms, and children's rooms due to its durability and stain resistance.

Care

  1. Regular Maintenance: Vacuum regularly to remove dust and loose dirt.
  2. Spot Cleaning: For minor spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
  3. Machine Washing: For a deeper clean, the rug is machine washable.
  • Wash at a maximum temperature of `40°C`.
  • Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent.
  • Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
  1. Drying: Line dry or tumble dry on a low heat setting. Ensure the rug is completely dry before placing it back on the floor to prevent mildew.
  2. Stain Resistance: The rug is designed to resist many common stains, including tea, coffee, wine, fake tan, washable felt tip, and non-oil based makeup. Prompt cleaning will yield the best results.
