FAQs

Does the kettle have a water level indicator?

The kettle is designed for a minimalist look; always check the internal markings to ensure you do not overfill or underfill the unit.

Can I use this kettle in the UK or US?

The product comes with an EU plug. You will need a high-quality travel adapter to use it safely in countries with different plug standards.

How do I clean the limescale filter?

Simply remove the filter from the spout and rinse it under warm water. Use a soft brush if mineral deposits are stuck in the mesh.

Is the exterior cool to the touch?

The body is made of steel, which can get hot during operation. Always use the provided handle to pour water.

What is the maximum capacity?

The Emma kettle has a capacity of 1.2 liters.

Troubleshooting

The kettle does not turn on.

Verify that the base is firmly connected to the power outlet and the jug is correctly seated on the base.

Water has an unusual taste.

Clean the interior and remove the limescale filter to wash away any accumulated mineral deposits.

The kettle turns off before the water boils.

This may be triggered by the dry-boil protection if there is not enough water in the jug. Ensure the water level is above the minimum marking.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Place the power base on a flat, dry surface near an electrical outlet. Connect the EU plug to a compatible wall socket.
Maintenance: To clean the exterior, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the steel finish.
Descaling: Regularly remove the anti-scale filter and rinse it under running water. If you live in an area with hard water, periodically boil a mixture of water and food-grade descaler or white vinegar to prevent limescale buildup inside the jug.
Storage: Ensure the unit is completely dry before storing it for extended periods.
