The Unifix Grade 10.9 Socket Button Head Screws are engineered for mechanical engineers, DIY enthusiasts, and fabricators who require high-strength, reliable fastening solutions. These screws provide exceptional tensile strength for heavy-duty applications, though users should ensure they have the correct metric hex key size to avoid stripping the internal drive during installation.

The 10.9 grade indicates the tensile strength of the steel; it is a high-strength fastener capable of withstanding significant mechanical stress.
These screws are best suited for indoor or controlled environments. For marine or high-exposure outdoor settings, stainless steel alternatives are recommended.
Yes, you require a standard metric Allen (hex) key that corresponds to the head size of your specific screw diameter.
Provided the threads are not deformed and the hex socket is not stripped, they can generally be reused, but inspect them closely for wear.
This is an international standard defining the dimensions, thread pitch, and head geometry for button head socket screws.
Ensure you are using the correct metric size hex key; if the head is stripped, use a screw extractor tool.
Remove the screw, clear any debris or metal shavings from the tapped hole, and re-insert carefully.
To install, select an Allen key that matches the diameter of the internal socket. For long-term performance, avoid over-torquing, which can damage the internal hex drive. While the silver coating offers moderate protection, keep the fasteners dry to prevent oxidation. If using these in high-vibration machinery, consider applying a thread-locking compound to ensure the fastener does not loosen over time. Always verify your thread pitch and diameter match your existing hardware before installation.
