To maintain the water-repellent finish and breathability, wash the garment in cool water using a gentle cycle and mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can clog the pores of the breathable membrane and degrade the performance of the DWR finish. When printing, ensure that the heat settings used for vinyl or transfer applications are compatible with polyester fabrics to avoid melting or damaging the inner membrane. Always hang dry the jacket in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources.
