This Regatta Arec III softshell jacket is designed for adult women seeking protection and flexibility during outdoor activities like walking or trekking. Its key benefit is offering wind resistance and water repellency to keep you comfortable in changeable weather, with a caveat that it is best suited as a midlayer rather than a heavy-duty outer shell in extreme conditions. Key features include a grown-on hood, adjustable hem, and stretch fabric for ease of movement.

The Arec III jacket has a water-repellent finish, which is effective against light rain and drizzle. For prolonged exposure to heavy rain, a fully waterproof jacket would provide better protection.
This jacket is designed as a midlayer. It can be worn over a base layer like a t-shirt or a light thermal top. For colder conditions, it can be worn under a waterproof and insulated outer shell.
To maintain the water repellency, avoid using fabric softeners during washing and consider re-applying a water-repellent treatment designed for outdoor clothing after several washes.
While it offers wind resistance, this softshell jacket may not provide sufficient insulation on its own in very cold temperatures. It is best used as part of a layering system with warmer insulating layers underneath.
A 'grown-on hood' is a hood that is permanently attached to the main body of the jacket, as opposed to a detachable hood.
The jacket is made from Polyester, which is known for its durability and lightweight properties.
Ensure you are wearing appropriate base layers. Adjust the hem to a more comfortable fit. The stretch fabric is designed for movement, so consider if the base layer is interfering.
The water-repellent finish can degrade over time. Consider using a specialized outdoor fabric re-proofer after washing, following the product's instructions.
Ensure the fabric is not caught in the zipper. Gently try to free any trapped material. You can lubricate the zipper with a graphite pencil or a specialized zipper lubricant if it remains stiff.
Setup:
This jacket requires no setup. Simply unpack and wear.
Compatibility:
Designed as an adult women's garment, this softshell jacket is intended to be worn over base layers or lighter midlayers. Its versatile design makes it compatible with most outdoor trousers and footwear.
