The Fontanales Wind Jacket is designed primarily for wind resistance and light protection; it is not classified as a waterproof rain jacket.
Yes, the jacket is designed with functional features to provide coverage against the elements.
It serves as a great outer shell in winter, but you will need to layer underneath it with insulating materials as it provides minimal warmth on its own.
Store it on a wide, padded hanger in a cool, dry place to maintain the shape of the shoulders and fabric integrity.
Yes, the synthetic construction allows for adequate airflow to prevent moisture buildup during moderate activity.
Clear any fabric or debris from the zipper teeth and ensure the jacket is lying flat; apply a tiny amount of wax if the slider feels stiff.
Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a humid environment, such as a bathroom after a shower, to allow the fibers to relax naturally.
This jacket is ready to wear immediately out of the packaging. For compatibility, it layers well with standard North Face fleece mid-layers due to its tailored fit. To ensure the longevity of the fabric, machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can degrade the wind-blocking properties of the synthetic weave. Tumble dry on a low setting or hang to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources. Always zip up all zippers before washing to protect them from damage.
