Yes, the Moncler Maya features a detachable hood that can be easily removed or reattached as needed.
It is strongly recommended to have this garment professionally cleaned by a specialist to ensure the down and nylon materials are protected.
The jacket is made from nylon laqué and offers some water resistance, but it is not waterproof and should not be worn in heavy rain.
The signature patch pocket on the sleeve is a design element that can fit small flat items like cards or keys.
Store it in a cool, dry place on a wide hanger, ensuring it is not compressed by other heavy clothing items.
This is common with down garments; gently pull the feather back into the jacket from the inside rather than pulling it out completely.
Gently shake and pat the jacket to redistribute the down inside the boudin channels.
To ensure your Moncler Maya remains in top condition, proper care is essential. Always consult the internal care label for specific washing instructions, though professional dry cleaning is highly recommended to preserve the integrity of the goose down and the nylon laqué fabric. For minor surface debris, use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the exterior. Store the jacket on a sturdy, padded hanger in a well-ventilated, dry environment to prevent the down from becoming compressed over long periods of non-use. Avoid storing it in tight, plastic-lined bags, as the down needs to breathe to maintain its loft.
