Nike Pegasus Trail 5 - Summit White, Armory Navy - UK 10

While primarily designed for technical dirt roads and trails, these shoes are suitable for short stretches of asphalt. However, for exclusive or extended road running, a dedicated road running shoe might offer better cushioning and responsiveness.

The engineered technical mesh upper is highly breathable and allows for moisture evaporation, but the shoes are not fully waterproof. They offer some protection against light splashes and dew but are not designed for deep puddles or heavy rain.

Allow any mud to dry completely, then gently brush off the loose dirt. For deeper cleaning, hand wash the shoes with a mild soap and cool water. Remove the insoles and air dry them away from direct heat sources to prevent damage.

The Nike Pegasus Trail 5 excels on technical dirt roads, gravel paths, and moderate singletrack trails. The multi-directional studded sole provides excellent grip on varied, uneven surfaces.

The lifespan of trail running shoes can vary greatly depending on mileage, terrain, and individual running style. A general guideline is to consider replacement every 300-500 miles, or when you notice significant wear on the outsole, reduced cushioning, or persistent discomfort.

Re-lace your shoes using a 'heel lock' or 'runner's knot' technique. This helps secure the ankle area and prevents your foot from sliding forward, especially crucial on steep downhill sections.

While the multi-directional studs offer good grip, extreme wet conditions can still be challenging. Reduce your pace and shorten your stride. Check the outsole for any embedded debris that might be reducing traction.

Ensure you are wearing appropriate moisture-wicking trail running socks. Check your lacing for overly tight spots. If discomfort persists, consider if your gait or foot type requires additional arch support or a different insole.

Outsole wear is normal over time, but excessive wear might indicate using the shoes on surfaces they're not designed for (e.g., primarily on abrasive concrete) or an unusual running gait. Regularly inspect your shoes and replace them when the tread is significantly worn for optimal safety and performance.
