Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your adidas Originals Italia 70s are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply unlace, insert your foot, and adjust the laces for a comfortable, secure fit. We recommend wearing them for short periods initially to allow the leather to break in and conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed for casual urban and everyday wear. They pair well with:
- Bottoms: Jeans, chinos, shorts, and casual trousers.
- Tops: T-shirts, polo shirts, casual button-downs, and hoodies.
- Occasions: Suitable for daily errands, social events, casual work environments, and light travel.
Care Instructions
Maintaining the quality of your leather and suede trainers is crucial for their longevity and appearance. Follow these guidelines:
- General Cleaning: For light dirt, wipe the leather surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Suede Care: For suede sections, use a specialized suede brush to gently remove dirt and restore the nap. For tougher stains, a suede eraser can be effective.
- Deep Cleaning (Leather): For more stubborn marks on leather, use a mild leather cleaner specifically designed for footwear. Apply with a clean cloth and follow product instructions.
- Protection: Consider applying a water and stain protector spray suitable for both leather and suede before first wear and periodically thereafter.
- Drying: If your shoes get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the leather.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Odour Management: If odours develop, remove insoles (if removable) and air out the shoes. Shoe deodorizers or baking soda in a sock can help absorb smells.
