Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jacket retains its insulating properties and water-repellent finish, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a gentle, cold-water machine cycle or hand wash. Always use a technical cleaner designed for insulated synthetic garments to avoid stripping the water-repellent coating.
- Drying: Air dry the jacket flat or on a hanger in a well-ventilated area. Do not iron the material or use high heat in a tumble dryer, as this can compress the insulation.
- Reproofing: After several washes, consider applying a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray to maintain the jacket's water-shedding performance.
- Storage: Store the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a cool, dry place to prevent the insulation from settling or losing its shape.
