No, the Nike ACG Air Mowabb is made with premium nubuck, which is not waterproof. It is best to avoid deep puddles or heavy rain.
These are designed as all-terrain trainers. They work well for light trails and walking, but for technical mountaineering or rugged backpacking, a dedicated hiking boot may provide better protection.
Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the vibrant colors and dry out the nubuck leather.
The neoprene bootie creates a very snug, compression-like fit. If you prefer a looser feel, consider testing a half-size up.
Yes, the internal insoles are removable, allowing you to insert custom orthotics if preferred.
Loosen the laces completely before entry and utilize the heel pull tab to gently ease your foot into the neoprene bootie.
Use a dry nubuck eraser or a specialized leather cleaner applied with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh household detergents.
Double-knot the laces or ensure the eyelets are free of debris to allow the laces to sit flush against the collar.
To ensure the best fit, adjust the lace closure to secure the foot firmly within the neoprene bootie, as this is critical for stability. Given the use of premium nubuck, it is recommended to avoid heavy exposure to mud or water. If the shoes become dirty, gently brush away loose debris with a soft-bristled brush. Use specialized nubuck cleaner for deep stains rather than submerging the shoes in water, as this can degrade the natural materials and the integrity of the adhesive bonding.
