FAQs

Is this rug safe for households with children?

Yes, it is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning it has been tested and verified to be free from harmful levels of chemicals.

Can I put this in the washing machine?

No, this rug is intended for hand washing only. Deep-pile rugs are generally too heavy and dense for standard home washing machines.

Does it require a non-slip pad?

The rug features a jute backing which provides stability on most hard surfaces, but you may use a non-slip pad if you notice any movement.

Will the rug flatten over time?

It is engineered with durable fibers designed to resist flattening and maintain volume; regular maintenance and brushing will keep it looking lush.

What are the exact dimensions?

This specific variant measures 120 cm in width by 120 cm in length.

Troubleshooting

Rug fibers appear flattened after delivery

Gently shake the rug and use your hands to fluff the fibers in an upward direction.

Difficulty vacuuming the deep pile

Use a vacuum cleaner on a high-height or 'shag' setting, and avoid using the rotating beater bar to prevent pulling on the threads.

Small spill or stain

Blot the area immediately with a clean, white cloth. Do not rub, as this can push the spill deeper into the 45mm pile.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Exceptionally soft and comfortable 45mm pile height
  • Maintains shape and volume well with regular use
  • OEKO-TEX safety certification for peace of mind
  • Sturdy backing prevents slipping on hard floors

Cons

  • High-pile design requires frequent vacuuming
  • Limited to a square 120 x 120 cm format for this model
  • Can be difficult to clean deep stains due to pile depth

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Simply unroll the rug in your desired location. If the rug appears flattened from shipping, brush the fibers with your fingers or a soft brush to help them stand upright. The jute backing is compatible with tile, hardwood, and laminate flooring.

Compatibility: This 120x120 cm square shape is perfect for nook spaces, under circular coffee tables, or as a centerpiece in smaller rooms.

Care: The rug is hand washable. To maintain its appearance, vacuum regularly on a low-suction setting without a beater bar, which helps prevent fiber damage while removing surface dust. Spot clean spills immediately with a mild detergent and a damp cloth.
