Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
- Lacing: Before first use, fully unlace the boots. Insert foot, ensuring the heel is snug at the back. Begin lacing from the bottom eyelets, pulling firmly but not uncomfortably tight through each eyelet to secure the foot. Double-knot for extra security during play.
- Initial Wear: Wear the boots for short periods around the house or during light activities to break them in. This helps the material conform to the foot's shape, enhancing comfort.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: These boots are specifically designed for *artificial turf (AG)* pitches. The non-marking rubber outsole provides optimal traction on synthetic grass.
- Incompatibility: Not recommended for natural grass (FG/SG) or indoor court (IC) surfaces, as the outsole pattern is not suited for these environments.
Care
Maintaining your Goletto VIII boots will extend their life and performance:
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, *wipe down the boots* with a damp cloth to remove loose dirt and debris. For stubborn mud, use a soft brush.
- Outsole Cleaning: Clean the non-marking rubber outsole to remove any trapped turf granules or dirt, which can affect grip. A stiff brush or old toothbrush can be effective.
- Drying: *Allow boots to air dry naturally* at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees or crumpled newspaper inside can help maintain their shape.
- Specific Care: For detailed instructions on material care (synthetics, textile), always refer to the product label inside the boot.
- Deodorizing: If odours develop, use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots overnight.
