Yes, their clean, black design and durable construction make them a popular choice for school-aged children.
A quick wipe with a damp cloth after use is recommended to remove dirt; polish as needed to keep the leather supple.
The grooves are specifically designed to allow the sole to bend with the foot, mimicking natural movement.
No, machine washing can damage the leather and the structure of the shoe. Use only hand-cleaning methods.
Clarks generally designs their children's range with ergonomic growth in mind, but always check the label for specific width indicators.
Apply a quality black leather polish or conditioner to restore shine and mask surface scuffs.
Ensure shoes are fully dry after each wear and leave them in a well-ventilated area overnight to allow the lining to breathe.
Clean any debris or mud from the flex grooves to ensure the sole can bend freely.
To ensure the longevity of your Clarks Somerset Flex trainers, ensure the correct fit upon purchase to avoid premature wear at the heel. For care, wipe down the leather surface with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. If the shoes become wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can dry out the leather and cause cracking. Use a standard black leather polish or renovator cream occasionally to cover scuffs and maintain the deep black finish.
