Product Information

Full details

The Silentnight Comfort Breathe 1200 Mattress is designed for sleepers who prioritize temperature regulation and consistent spinal support. It excels at keeping the sleeping surface cool through advanced breathable fibers, making it an excellent choice for those who often overheat at night; however, users who prefer an ultra-plush, 'sinking-in' foam sensation may find its firmer, responsive support structure less suitable.

FAQs

Is this mattress suitable for side sleepers?

Yes, the 1200 Mirapocket springs provide enough give to accommodate the shoulders and hips while maintaining the support required for proper spinal alignment.

Does this mattress contain memory foam?

No, this model uses specialized breathable fibers which are designed to provide a more responsive and cooler sleep surface than traditional memory foam.

How often should I rotate the mattress?

We recommend rotating it head-to-toe every two weeks for the first three months, then every three months thereafter.

Can I use this on a slatted bed base?

Yes, it is compatible with slatted bed bases, provided the slats are no more than 7cm apart to ensure proper spring support.

How do I clean the mattress cover?

The cover should be spot cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the fabric or using harsh chemical detergents.

Does the mattress come with a warranty?

Yes, Silentnight provides a manufacturer's warranty. Please check the documentation provided with your purchase for specific terms and registration details.

Troubleshooting

The mattress feels too firm initially

All new mattresses require a 'breaking-in' period of 2-4 weeks. Allow time for the fillings to settle and your body to adjust to the support profile.

Surface impressions appearing

Regularly rotating the mattress from head-to-toe will prevent uneven compression and allow the fillings to recover their original loft.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Superior airflow and temperature regulation
Tailored support for spinal alignment
Reduced motion transfer between partners
Highly responsive surface for easier movement

Cons

Firmer feel may not suit those who prefer deep sinkage
Limited to specific size configurations
Requires regular rotation to ensure even wear

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Silentnight Comfort Breathe 1200, place the mattress on a suitable, firm base such as a slatted bed frame or a divan base. When first unpacking, ensure the room is well-ventilated to allow any 'new product' scent to dissipate within the first 24-48 hours. For care, rotate the mattress from head-to-toe every few weeks for the first three months, and then every few months thereafter. This helps settle the fillings evenly across the spring surface. Do not use chemical cleaners on the fabric; instead, use a soft-bristled brush or a vacuum with an upholstery attachment to clear away dust.
