Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Samaris III boots last, follow these care steps:
- Breaking In: Wear your boots on short walks before attempting long-distance hikes to allow the materials to mold to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: After muddy treks, remove excess dirt with a soft brush and rinse with lukewarm water. Allow to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can degrade the waterproof membrane.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Ensure they are completely dry before putting them away to prevent mildew.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the outsole for embedded stones or debris that could affect traction. Re-treat the exterior with a water-repellent spray if water no longer beads off the surface after extensive use.
