Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting the Time and Date
- Pull the Crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the first or second click. The second click is typically for time adjustment.
- Adjust the Date: If your watch has two clicks, the first click usually allows you to adjust the date by turning the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Adjust until the correct date is displayed.
- Adjust the Time: Pull the crown out to the second click. Turn the crown to move the hands until the correct time is set. Be mindful of AM/PM for the date change (the date typically changes around midnight).
- Push the Crown Back: Once the time and date are set, push the crown firmly back into its normal operating position to start the watch and maintain water resistance.
Compatibility
This Casio watch is a universal accessory, compatible with any personal style. Its standard wrist-wearing design means it's compatible with all users. The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted for size by removing links; this is best done by a professional watchmaker to ensure a proper and secure fit.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and bracelet regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and oils. For the stainless steel, a mild soap solution can be used, but ensure the watch is rinsed thoroughly and dried completely.
- Water Resistance: While rated for 50M, avoid pressing buttons or operating the crown underwater. After exposure to salt water, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it.
- Avoid Chemicals: Keep the watch away from harsh chemicals, solvents, and perfumes, which can damage the case, bracelet, or seals.
- Storage: When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields.
- Glass Care: Despite being 'scratch-resistant acrylic glass', acrylic can still scratch. Avoid abrasive surfaces and consider screen protectors designed for watches if you are particularly concerned.
