Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) out to the second click. Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in fully to start the watch.
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the first click. Turn the crown to adjust the date. Be careful not to set the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. Push the crown back in fully.
Compatibility
The stainless steel strap is 22 mm wide and 21 cm long, designed to fit a wide range of wrist sizes. For optimal comfort, you may need to have the strap adjusted by a professional jeweler if it's too loose or too tight.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe your watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt, sweat, and oils. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring it is dried thoroughly afterward. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Avoiding Damage: While the sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant, it's not indestructible. Avoid dropping the watch or exposing it to extreme impacts. Do not operate the crown or push-buttons when the watch is wet, as its specific water resistance is not provided and moisture could enter the case.
- Storage: When not wearing, store your watch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields, which can affect timekeeping accuracy.
- Battery Replacement: Analog watches typically require battery replacement every 2-3 years. When the time comes, it's recommended to have a professional watchmaker replace the battery to ensure proper sealing and function.
