Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before purchasing, ensure your RV awning system is a manual model without a metal weather guard, as this fabric is not compatible with metal-housed units. Installation is a straightforward process, typically requiring a ladder and a second person to help feed the fabric bead through the awning rail.
- Fully retract your existing awning to remove the old fabric.
- Carefully slide the new fabric through the awning rail, ensuring it is centered.
- Use the provided pressing plate if the rail opening is tight to prevent tearing the bead.
- Attach the pull strap to the center of the lead rail.
For maintenance, clean the vinyl periodically with a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, as these can degrade the protective UV coating.
