Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Choose Location: Select a level area in your garden, considering sunlight exposure and accessibility.
- Excavate: Dig a hole slightly larger than the tub's dimensions, ensuring the base is firm and level.
- Position Tub: Place the tub into the hole, checking that it is perfectly level in all directions. You may need to add or remove soil beneath it.
- Backfill: Carefully backfill around the tub with soil or gravel, ensuring it remains stable and in place.
- Connect Pump (if applicable): If creating a water feature with a pump, connect it according to the pump manufacturer's instructions and place it within the tub.
- Add Decorative Elements: Arrange stones, gravel, or plants around the rim and inside the tub as desired.
Compatibility:
This tub is compatible with most standard submersible water pumps, pond liners (though it is watertight on its own), and aquatic plants. It is designed for use with garden water features, ponds, and as wildlife habitats.
Care:
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the tub with water and a soft brush to remove any algae or debris. Avoid harsh chemicals that could harm aquatic life.
- Winterization: In colder climates, it is advisable to remove water and any fish or sensitive plants before freezing temperatures arrive to prevent damage.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the tub for any signs of damage or wear, especially after harsh weather.
