Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Hurricane 26 GTX trainers, follow these care steps. Start by ensuring you have the correct size; as an adult performance shoe, the fit should be snug in the midfoot with enough room in the toe box to accommodate natural foot swelling during exercise. For cleaning, avoid the washing machine, which can damage the GORE-TEX membrane. Instead, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud and a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe down the exterior. Let the shoes air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the cushioning foam. Replace your trainers every 400 to 500 miles to maintain the structural integrity of the support system.
