The Skechers Glide-Step Vortex Avalin trainers are designed for active women seeking a blend of natural momentum and cloud-like cushioning for daily walking or light exercise. By incorporating advanced geometric midsole geometry and M-Strike technology, these shoes excel at creating smooth transitions; however, potential buyers should note that the no-tie bungee system offers a fixed, slip-on style that may not provide the same lockdown customizability as traditional laces.

These are primarily designed as walking and lifestyle trainers. While the cushioning is responsive, they are best suited for walking, errands, and casual fitness rather than high-intensity marathon training.
The shoes are designed specifically for the convenience of the bungee system. While technically possible, doing so may affect the intended fit and aesthetic of the shoe.
Skechers generally follow standard UK sizing. If you prefer extra room in the toe box, consider the typical fit of your existing trainers, as this model has a standard width.
Most models in this series feature a secured insole to ensure the Glide-Step technology performs as intended; it is not recommended to remove it.
Wash them only when necessary. Frequent machine washing can shorten the lifespan of the materials, so spot cleaning is preferred for minor stains.
Ensure you are wearing a standard athletic sock to fill the internal volume, or consider an aftermarket insole for a tighter fit.
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dry dirt before deciding if a full machine wash is necessary.
These trainers come pre-assembled with a bungee lacing system, requiring no initial setup. To maintain the shoes, use a gentle cycle on your washing machine with cold water and mild detergent; always air dry to protect the structural integrity of the foam cushioning. Avoid using high-heat dryers as this can compromise the performance of the ULTRA LIGHT materials. For best results, use a laundry bag when machine washing to protect the upper mesh fabric.
