The brand explicitly recommends sizing up to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.
Velvet is not a water-resistant material, so it is best to avoid wearing them in heavy rain or wet conditions to prevent staining and fabric damage.
The soles are uniquely crafted from recycled bicycle tyres, providing a durable and rustic finish.
Yes, they feature an organic cotton lining designed to be soft against the skin and breathable.
Regularly brush the velvet with a soft brush and store the shoes in a dry environment when not in use.
Verify if you sized up according to brand recommendations; if still tight, consult a professional shoe cobbler to check for potential stretching options.
Use a specialized soft-bristled brush and gently brush against the grain to lift the fibers back into position.
Inspect the pin and hole alignment; you can use a small leather punch to create an additional hole if a tighter fit is required.
Because the Flabelus Mary Janes run smaller than standard street shoes, it is highly recommended to order one size larger than your usual UK shoe size for the best experience. To maintain the velvet fabric, store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the surface becomes dusty, use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove debris in the direction of the velvet nap. Avoid submerging the shoes in water; if the soles get muddy, wipe them down with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry naturally.
