The Dearborn canvas is durable and wind-resistant but is not treated as a waterproof garment. It will handle light drizzle but is not a substitute for a raincoat.

As it is made of 100% cotton canvas, minor shrinkage can occur if exposed to high heat. We strongly recommend hang-drying to maintain the original fit.

This fit is designed to be boxy and roomy. If you prefer a fitted look, it is generally recommended to size down from your usual shirt size.

It is an unlined jacket, so it provides little natural warmth. It is best used as an outer shell over insulated layers like fleece or thick wool sweaters.

The 12 oz canvas is designed to soften with regular wear and wash cycles. You can speed up the break-in process by wearing it frequently.

Ensure no fabric is caught in the track. You can rub a small amount of graphite or candle wax along the zipper teeth to improve glide.

Avoid ironing at high temperatures. Use a steamer or hang the jacket in a humid bathroom to allow the weight of the fabric to pull wrinkles out naturally.
