Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure surfaces are clean and free of dirt, oil, and grease.
- Lightly dampen one surface with water. For dense hardwoods, dampen both surfaces. Do not add water to the bottle.
- Apply a thin, even layer of Gorilla Glue to the other surface.
- Press the objects together firmly.
- Clamp the objects securely using clamps, heavy objects, or Gorilla Tape. Ensure adequate pressure is applied for a strong bond.
- Wipe away any excess glue immediately, as it will expand.
- Allow the bond to cure for at least 1-2 hours for initial grip, with full cure achieved in 24 hours.
Compatibility:
Gorilla Glue bonds well with stone, metal, glass, ceramic, wood, foam, concrete, and more. It is not recommended for use on polyethylene or PTFE (Teflon). Test on a small, inconspicuous area first if unsure.
Care:
Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed after each use to prevent the glue from reacting with ambient moisture and curing in the bottle. Clean up uncured glue with a damp cloth or mineral spirits. Cured glue can be removed by scraping or sanding.
