FAQs
Are these boots suitable for artificial grass?
These are primarily designed for firm ground (FG) natural grass. Using them on artificial grass may cause excessive wear to the studs.
What is the benefit of the fold-over tongue?
It provides a smoother, clean surface area for striking the ball and helps keep your laces securely tucked away.
How do I determine my size?
The Predator Elite range follows standard adidas sizing. We recommend choosing your usual football boot size for an optimal fit.
Can I use these in the rain?
Yes, the NANOSTRIKE+ mesh is designed to maintain grip on the ball even when conditions are wet.
How should I store these boots?
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent the materials from drying out or discoloring.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel stiff during first use
Wear them during a short practice session to allow the engineered upper to heat-mold and adapt to your foot.
Accumulation of dirt in grip elements
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove debris from the NANOSTRIKE+ rubber elements after every game.
Laces coming loose
Ensure the fold-over tongue is properly secured, which keeps the laces tucked and prevents them from catching during play.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Clean strike zone provided by the classic fold-over tongue
- Excellent grip technology for ball manipulation
- Supportive fit through engineered upper materials
- Stable and responsive STRIKEFRAME plate for firm ground
- Durable construction suitable for high-level play
Cons
- Fold-over tongue design may require adjustment for personal preference
- Firm ground plate is not ideal for artificial turf or soft ground
- More structured feel may feel heavier than pure speed-focused boots
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure peak performance, allow for a brief break-in period to let the engineered upper mold to your foot shape. These boots are specifically designed for firm ground (FG) natural grass pitches; using them on aggressive artificial turf or hard gravel can lead to premature stud wear or plate damage. After play, remove excess mud using a soft brush. Wipe the upper with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to maintain the integrity of the materials and glue.
