Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Begin by loosening the laces completely. Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back. Pull the tongue straight. Systematically tighten the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring an even snugness across your foot without overtightening. Double-knot for security.
- Break-in Period: Due to the premium kangaroo leather, these boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or short periods initially to allow the leather to naturally mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots feature Firm Ground (FG) outsoles with moulded studs. They are specifically designed for optimal performance on natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces is not recommended as it can damage the boots and compromise your grip.
- User: Designed for adult males, indicated by the `gender` and `age_group` attributes.
- Size: This specific variant is UK size 8.
Care
Proper care is crucial for maintaining the quality, comfort, and longevity of your leather football boots:
- Cleaning After Each Use: Immediately after playing, wipe off any mud or dirt with a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, use a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never use direct heat sources like radiators or hair dryers, as this can cause the leather to crack and stiffen.
- Conditioning: Regularly apply a high-quality leather conditioner or boot cream designed for natural leather. This will keep the leather supple, prevent drying and cracking, and maintain its water resistance. Follow the product's instructions for application.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not submerge the boots in water for cleaning, as this can damage the leather and glues.
