While the leather construction offers some natural resistance, they are not classified as fully waterproof boots. It is recommended to use a leather-safe water repellent spray.
These are designed for everyday use and light trails; they are not intended for technical hiking or extreme mountainous terrain.
You can use a stiff-bristled brush and mild soapy water to remove dirt and debris trapped in the lugs.
If you plan on wearing thick winter socks, it is generally advised to size up by half a size to maintain a comfortable fit.
Yes, the EVA footbeds are generally designed to be removed or replaced if you need to insert custom orthotics.
Leather requires a break-in period. Wear them for short durations indoors initially to allow the material to soften and conform to your foot.
Ensure you are using a double knot if the laces are sliding, or consider replacing them with higher-friction laces if necessary.
To ensure your boots last, it is essential to follow basic maintenance protocols. Since these are made from leather, they should be cleaned using a damp cloth and specialized leather cleaner to maintain the integrity of the material. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can damage the leather and the adhesive bonding of the sole. To maintain the water resistance of the upper, apply a recommended leather protector spray every few months. For the best fit, ensure you select your correct UK size and use the laces to secure the boot firmly around your ankle, ensuring the padded collar sits comfortably against your leg.
