Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Installation
This cooker hood offers flexibility in installation, compatible with both ducted and recirculating setups. Professional installation is recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Ducted Extraction: Air is extracted from your kitchen and vented outside through a ducting system. This method offers the most effective removal of odors and moisture.
- Recirculating Operation: Air is drawn in, filtered (grease and odors), and then returned to the kitchen. For this setup, you will need a recirculating kit. The CleanAir recirculating kit (accessory) is recommended for superior odor reduction.
- Dimensions: Ensure you have adequate space. The hood dimensions vary slightly based on installation type:
- Ducted: `635-965 x 600 x 500 mm` (HxWxD)
- Recirculating: `635-1075 x 600 x 500 mm` (HxWxD)
- Recirculating with CleanAir module: `703 x 600 x 500 mm` (mounting with outer chimney) or `833-1163 x 600 x 500 mm` (mounting with telescopic chimney)
Compatibility
The hood is designed to be a standard 60cm width, making it compatible with most standard hob sizes. Its stainless steel finish complements a wide range of modern kitchen designs.
Care & Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure your cooker hood performs optimally and lasts longer.
- Grease Filters: The metal grease filters should be cleaned regularly (e.g., monthly, depending on cooking frequency) to maintain extraction efficiency. They are typically dishwasher-safe or can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water.
- Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the finish. Dry thoroughly to prevent water spots.
- Recirculation Filters (if applicable): If using the CleanAir recirculation kit, follow the manufacturer's instructions for filter replacement intervals. These filters are crucial for odor removal and need periodic replacement, not just cleaning.
- LED Lights: The energy-saving LED lights generally have a long lifespan. If a light needs replacing, refer to the user manual for specific instructions.
